Mazda Motor Corporation’s production and sales results for February 2009 are summarized below.

1. Domestic Production
Due to a reduction in global demand, Mazda’s domestic production volume of passenger and commercial vehicles in February 2009 decreased 60.3% compared to February 2008.

Mazda2 (Demio):	6,412 units	(down 65.5% year-on-year)

2. Overseas Production
Due to a reduction in global demand, Mazda’s overseas production volume of passenger and commercial vehicles in February decreased 30.8% compared to February 2008.

II. Domestic Sales

Amid diminished overall market demand, Mazda’s total domestic sales volume of passenger and commercial vehicles in February 2009 decreased 35.7% compared to February 2008.
Mazda’s registered vehicle market share was 5.2% (down 0.7 points year-on-year), with a 2.9% share of the micro-mini segment (down 0.4 points year-on-year) and a 4.2% total market share (down 0.8 points year-on-year).
